At some point Sandra Mesas from Trier moved from typesetting to hand lettering. She does so with huge passion and not so long ago came across our hand-lettering set. We’re delighted she did. And we’re even more pleased that she’s passing on her experiences to others: at the start of July 2017 she organised a well-attended course during which the participants had the opportunity to learn brush lettering – i.e. brushwork – and discovered our markers and the new “Handlettering Learning Pad to go”.

Sandra herself used the Handlettering Learning Set for flipcharts for this course. She sent us lots of photos from this course of which you can see a selection here.

It’s great to see: if instruction is clear and the correct tools are used, the once feared discipline of calligraphy is plainly a lot of fun.

Mrs Mesas informed us:

“The ‘to go’ books were received very well and using the brush pen we began our introduction to brush lettering. Through the size of the nib the participants could easily see what happens how and when if pressure is eased, applied etc. It was really helpful! The samples were all enthusiastically packed away for practicing at home.”

Thanks for the recommendation and praise, Sandra.
And naturally a big thank you for the photos to Silvia Günther.
