The intelligent ink refill system for Neuland markers is simple and quick, but there are some key steps to note before you begin refilling your markers. We have recently made some modifications to the design to further guard against ink leakage. 
1. Remove & discard the temporary bottle cap the ink bottle is first delivered with.
2. Attach the permanent bulb lid to the ink bottle and this will open the seal plug to allow the flow of ink.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the seal plug from the bottleneck (this is meant to be a part of the ink bottle); as this will protect from ink leakage.
