If someone had told us fifty years ago that Neuland, a small company from the province of Hessen, would one day have friends from all over the world, we would have probably shaken our heads sceptically. Today, our products are available almost everywhere – whether in Korea, New Zealand, Denmark, France, the USA… you name it. And we owe this success in no small part to the people who love our products so much that they’re passionately committed to selling them: our Official Resellers.

In this post, we’re introducing these remarkable partners: country by country, team by team. We invited them to share their stories with us. We received everything from short texts and images to longer descriptions and even videos. Over time, we’ll be publishing their stories one by one here on this blog.

So, be sure to check back regularly – and discover Neuland around the world!

#12: USA – Sketch Crafters

Elena Maksumova from Sketch Crafters

Sketchcrafters.com  is a very new business (about 10 months old). We officially launched our eCommerce store as official Neuland Reseller on July 9th, 2024.
Some journeys begin with a plan; others unfold organically, sparked by a moment of inspiration. Sketch Crafters was born from the latter—a passion that turned into a purpose.

As an Agile coach and facilitator, I have spent years helping teams navigate complex challenges. I knew that the human brain processes and retains information best through visuals, yet for the longest time, I hesitated to create visuals of my own. “I wish I could…,” I’d think, until one day I shifted to asking “How do I?”. I started learning through a micro-practice every day, calling it #5minutehabitchallenge. Sharing my progress on LinkedIn connected me with extraordinary visual practitioners, leading me to Neuland.

Trying Neuland markers was a game-changer. My still imperfect visuals went to the next level – no smudges, no bleeding through the paper, beautiful colors, smooth ink flow across the page – I was hooked. Besides all Neuland markers are eco-friendly, refillable and with replaceable nibs. No more dried-out markers and waste! I had found the perfect products that elevated my visuals and learning.
But there was a problem – no Neuland resellers existed in the U.S. Orders from Europe could take time and be costly. I wasn’t alone in this struggle. That’s when the idea struck: Why not create a place where people like me could find the tools they need, love, and trust?

And so, SketchCrafters.com was born—not as a workshop supply store, but as a dedicated hub for professionals who rely on visual communication to make an impact. Every product is something I personally use and stand behind. More than just selling tools, is about catalyzing learning, communication, ideation and making every session more engaging and effective.

I absolutely love all Neuland products, their design, quality and eco-friendliness. If I were to pick just one product it’d be markers, especially Outliners in all sizes. Even when I travel, I take a sub-set of my Neuland marker pens with me to keep practicing. The Neuland FineOne® Outliner is always one of them. My top favorite colors are 601 red orange, 303 pastel blue and 500 brilliant yellow.

#11: South Korea – Creative Maker

The team from Creative Maker

I have been an official Neuland reseller since 2018, so it’s about six years now.
I first came into contact with moderation as an activity when I became a trainer at Volkswagen and received training at the headquarters in Germany. I was very impressed by the way the participants respected each other’s opinions and listened to them, no matter what they said. This was the most remarkable aspect of the moderation for me.

I was also fascinated by how the various NEULAND tools allowed the sessions to flow naturally. They helped everyone focus better and made the experience more enjoyable. I noticed this because in Korea, when someone expresses an idea that deviates from the norm, it is often dismissed or disrespected. This I have come to believe that NEULAND’s tools are incredibly helpful in creating an environment where people can express their ideas freely and listen to others respectfully. This has inspired me to introduce these tools to the people of Korea.

Two examples come to mind:

  1. The vision of a satellite startup team from Seoul National University moved me so much that I gave them a whiteboard to make their meetings smoother and more productive meetings.
  2. People fleeing North Korea to our country are called “Saeteomin”. Seateo means “new homeland”. There is a training center in South Korea that helps them to adapt and open up in their new environment. And here, Neuland products are used to promote trust and connection during their sessions.

My favorite Neuland product is the UniPin® 2 UT pinboard because I can use it both horizontally and vertically and its light weight makes it easy to transport. It allows me to visualize ideas freely and rearrange the position of the pinboard as needed.

My favorite marker color is the black of the outliner, which I like to use together with a shade of grey. This creates a sense of depth, which makes the drawings look more attractive. I set accents with large BigOne markers in orange and green.

#10: Australia and New Zealand – Sketch Group & Graphic Gear

The team from Sketch Group & Graphic Gear

The Story of Sketch Group + Graphic Gear and Neuland

I have been a Neuland reseller since 2018. In 2017 I met Guido at the IFVP conference in Atlanta, in the USA. I was fairly new to graphic recording, and was amazed at the passion that attendees to the conference had for the Neuland® range of markers. I knew there was no reseller in Australia or New Zealand, so I thought I’d put my hand up.

It was a pretty big deal for me to decide to take this on, but I remember thinking “If I buy $10,000 worth of product and can’t sell them, my team and I will probably just use them eventually anyway!” So it also felt like a fairly low-risk opportunity. My company is called Sketch Group (we deliver explainer videos, illustration, graphic recording), so originally we were going to house the Neuland® reseller business under the same brand, and call it “Sketch Tools”.

We realised though that the customer base was completely different. Our customers were actually other facilitators and graphic recorders, and this was actually a completely different business and needed its own brand. So in 2018 we launched Graphic Gear, an ecommerce store for Aussie & Kiwi visual thinking enthusiasts, was born. We sell a range Neuland® markers, books, and facilitation products, and a few of our own products too.

I learned quickly that being a graphic recorder myself was quite a compelling factor when having sales conversations. People phone us or drop in and want to ask questions about the markers. I think the fact that I use them every day and can talk about the differences between, different nibs, refilling, and show examples of my work, means the guidance I give customers is authentic.

My absolute favourite marker is definitely the Neuland BigOne® Art. I love the lettering I can achieve with the brush nib! And my favourite colour is Ocean 305. It’s so versatile. I enjoy pairing it with other warm colours, like yellows, oranges, and reds. It’s so versatile!

#09: South Africa –  Drawn In

Gill Cromhout from  Drawn In

My Journey with Neuland and Visual Facilitation

My journey with Neuland began in 2016 when a fellow visual facilitator and coach introduced me to these remarkable tools. The moment I imported my first batch of markers and refill inks, I was hooked. Neuland products were a game changer—they didn’t just enhance my work; they revolutionized it.

Visual facilitation is all about inclusivity, engagement, and making ideas tangible. My workshop participants were instantly drawn to the vibrant colours, the dynamic visuals, and the clarity these tools brought to our discussions. Seeing their enthusiasm reinforced my belief in the power of visuals to foster understanding and collaboration.

This excitement led me to take a bold step — I reached out to Neuland to explore becoming a reseller in South Africa. That decision took me to Eichenzell, Germany, where I met the Neuland team, toured the factory, explored their incredible product range, and signed the reseller agreement. This moment sealed my commitment and marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

But I didn’t stop there. While planning my trip to Europe, I sought to deepen my learning and stumbled upon bikablo® — a visual methodology that perfectly complemented Neuland’s tools. Seizing the opportunity, I attended a bikablo® workshop in Denmark, which led to my training as a bikablo global trainer.

Neuland and bikablo® share a long-standing collaboration, blending high-quality tools with powerful visual facilitation techniques. In August 2019, I proudly extended their reach to the tip of Africa, bringing world-class resources to a new audience. Today, as the official Neuland reseller in South Africa and a bikablo® global trainer, I continue to empower professionals with the skills and tools to communicate visually, think creatively, and engage meaningfully.

Visual facilitation is more than just drawing — it’s about unlocking potential, fostering connection, and making ideas visible. This journey has been extraordinary, and I have never looked back. The best part? I can’t wait to see what comes next.

When asked to choose my favourite Neuland tools, it’s an impossible task—they’re all brilliant!

#08: Ukraine – „WOW TRENING“ LLC

The team from “WOW TRENING” LLC

How Nataliia and Neuland bring the wow to Trening

I have been a Neuland reseller for 8 years, since 2017. My journey with Neuland actually began in 2015 when I attended a conference and saw a facilitator using the Neuland BigOne® marker on a flipchart. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the markers and decided to track them down. To my surprise, I didn’t just find the markers, I discovered the entire world of Neuland products. That’s when I realized that we absolutely had to bring them to Ukraine. In 2017, we visited Neuland and officially became part of the Neuland family.

We are incredibly grateful for the professional assistance and support we’ve received from the entire Neuland team during the years of our partnership.

As I love all Neuland products – but most of all the Novario® WorkshopCase Pin-It Basic with marker and the sketch@work flipchart.

When it comes to marker colours, I’m especially fond of the orange (600) and yellow (501).

#07: Poland – Experience Corner

The team from Experience Corner

ExperienceCorner.com was founded in 2011 with the mission to provide the best educational and training tools, including training games and activities for business trainers, coaches, consultants, teachers, educators, and experiential learning practitioners.
Our collaboration with Neuland began early on during the Education Fairs in Cologne. We were captivated by Neuland’s beautiful accessories and quickly decided to include them in our store. Initially, we started with a few basic products. However, after seeing Gabrysia Borowczyk’s creative use of Neuland markers on social media, we recognized the immense potential of these fantastic products. We gradually expanded our range to include not only markers but also pinboards, flipcharts, and other accessories.

Gabrysia soon became our first Ambassador, marking the beginning of our long-lasting partnership. Since then, the group of Neuland Ambassadors representing Experience Corner has continued to grow. Each year, they teach thousands of people the art and craft of visual thinking, introducing them to Neuland products and demonstrating how to use them and where to find them.

In 2019, we established our first showroom in Warsaw, where you can experience and try out almost every Neuland product available in our online store. Including, of course, our favourite marker – the No.One in light green 401 😊

#06: Denmark and Sweden – Future Factor

Peter Levinsen from Future Factor

Once Upon a Time: How to Sell a Marker – Without Sales Skills
H.C. Andersen began many fairy tales with the famous words: Once upon a time…
And perhaps you’ve seen the movie scene where someone is challenged to sell me this marker.

The Neuland – Future Factor story is a perfect blend of both.
At the IAF Conference in 2012, Istanbul, Türkiye, a former Future Factor partner met Şafak Holyst, who was passionately selling Neuland products. Enthusiastically, he convinced me to reach out to Neuland, and by the summer of 2012, Future Factor became the official Neuland Partner in Denmark.
That so-called summer holiday was spent building a webshop with around 1 000 products, as we also secured the distribution rights for METALOG® training tools.

From Zero Sales Skills to 50% Growth Per Year
As with any new venture, challenges arose.
I had no sales skills, and we quickly realized that simply launching a webshop wasn’t enough to drive sales. So, we adapted. We developed training courses, optimized SEO, launched Google Ads campaigns, actively engaged on LinkedIn, attended networking events, and exhibited at trade fairs.
The result? Between 2013 and 2019, sales skyrocketed, increasing by an impressive 50% year after year.

Challenges and Opportunities in a Changing World
The years 2020 and 2021 brought challenges—due to COVID—but also new opportunities.
Together with Neuland, we optimized logistics, expanded into Sweden by establishing Future Factor Sweden as official Reseller, being the first trainer to offer Graphic Facilitation in Greenland.

Since 2023, I become the sole owner of Future Factor.
My focus now is on showcasing Future Factor’s and Neuland products to new audiences—people who haven’t yet heard of us. And the most incredible part? Where we once had to pay high fees to exhibit, we are now often invited—for free!

New Exhibitions, New Horizons
In 2024, we exhibited at the Pedagogical Learning Day in Denmark, the Danish Book Fair, the Danish Work Environment Conference, and the Nordic Scale Up Conference.
In 2025, Future Factor has already showcased at the Danish Dyslexia Conference—where we were even given the rare opportunity to exhibit inside the main lecture hall! And for the first time, we will be exhibiting at the Gothenburg Book Fair and SETT in Stockholm—the largest Nordic trade fair for innovation and active learning.

Selling Without Selling
A picture speaks louder than a thousand words, so we teach people that if they can write letters, they can transform them into icons, create their own storytelling, and showcase the value they bring to their customers. So, how do you sell a marker? By showing the customer the value of the product.

Our most popular products include the Neuland FineOne® Flex, WhiteSpace, and Sketchbooklet – offered as a bonus gift to our loyal customers and to all participants attending Future Factor courses.

Wishing you all the success in the world—with your colorful Neuland products!

#05: France – A.B.M.G Sarl

Marina Gomez from A.B.M.G Sarl

I have always been drawn to communicating through images and drawing. For me, visual creativity is a powerful way to convey a multitude of ideas in a simple, yet impactful way.
Personally, I’m especially fond of the entire range of Neuland Outliner markers, from FineOne® Art to BigOne®, as they allow for sharp, precise outlines. While it is hard to choose just one colour from the wide selection, my personal favourite is turquoise (301).

#04: Netherlands – Neuland NL

The team from neuland.nl

We, Pieter von Leeuwen and Daniëlle van Zanten, together with our team have been partners of Neuland since 2012. Before that, Pieter was already working at Neuland Nederland, which was founded in 1998. During this time, he took care of the logistics, from packing and shipping orders to customers, to the transportation and delivery of rental orders to their destinations. Having worked at and with Neuland for so many years, he knew all facets of the work and many customers and locations right from the start.

Our favourite Neuland product is the FineOne. This marker writes and draws great. And all these colours! Our favourite colour is of course orange… typically Dutch.

#03: Switzerland – Neuland AG

The team from neuland.ch

Our story about and with Neuland:

Neuland AG was born out of a passion for vibrant learning. In the late 1980s, Victor Bataillard introduced the moderation method and brought Neuland products such as flipcharts and moderation materials from Germany to Switzerland. And so, we have been a Neuland partner since 11 April 1988. In 1996, Conny Schwegler and Daniel Wetter took over the company and continue to run it successfully and enthusiastically to this day.

With a small, dedicated team, we supply trainers, consultants, and educational institutions with high-quality moderation materials. In addition to sales, we offer seminars for vibrant learning and the moderation market, where methods and Neuland products are demonstrated in action. We are happy to promote innovative approaches for training, projects, and meetings in Switzerland.

Our absolute favourite product is the Neuland No.One®¸ especially with our favourite colour, orange (600).

#02: United Kingdom – Inky Thinking

The team from Inky Thinking

Neuland holds a special place in our hearts, the markers, boards and paper have been our loyal companions since 2009 for our visual facilitation and live illustration work. From the gloominess of the Covid lockdown year, Tom and Esther took on a fresh, thrilling & colourful challenge in 2021 when Inky Thinking officially became a UK reseller for Neuland. What a joy and a pleasure it has been to fly the flag for Neuland from within the UK. With such a vibrant range of high-quality visual facilitation kit, we had a fresh opportunity to bring the kit to the UK in a quick and easy way for our customers. We import on large pallets and serve the UK from our warehouse in beautiful Hexham, Northumberland where we live and work – officially the ‘Happiest Place to Live in the UK’ in 2021!

In September 2024 the Inky Thinking team met in Cambridge to share learning and experiment with lots of Neuland products. We were very proud to have Neuland “Super Ambassador” Heather Martinez with us to share lots of tips and ideas on how to get the best from our nibs. Enjoying use the products means that we can share our love of Neuland with all our valued customers.

The LW-X GraphicWall has been our steadfast companion from the start, travelling to client meetings on planes, trains and automobiles. It is of the upmost importance to invest in the best kit for our best work and the mighty LW-X has been a faithful friend from the start (Tom has taken his LW-X to New York, Delhi and all over Europe). The No.One Outliner, Round nib is (in our opinion) the king of all markers and we would not leave home without a topped up and juicy one. Our favourite coloured marker? 305 Ocean! It reminds us of happy time spent at the seaside.

With both Esther & Tom working at the very heart of the Shop we thrive on delivering excellent product guidance, superb quality sustainable kit and exceeding customers’ expectations with our individual care and attention from within the UK. We are delighted with our 5-star customer rating ⭐️.

Connecting with customers over the phone about Neuland kit is one of the many highlights of our job, as we love to engage in conversation about anything Neuland related! Esther & Tom can be reached on 0333 567 2121, via [email protected] or our onlinesop Inky Thinking.
Thank you for reading our short story.
