Most conferences take place in summer. If you don’t want to miss out on anything, this can be a quite expensive season. For this very reason, you should make the most out of every single conference and soak in all the impressions – make it an unforgettable experience! How?

As many are currently attending one conference after another and this can be pretty stressful, Neuland Ambassador® Heather Martinez kindly created a handout for those who struggle preparing for the events or those who are looking for some pre-conference advice in general. We will give you a quick overview of “Lettering on the Go” and, of course, you can get your free version here.

The most important aspect is to prepare everything in as much detail as possible. Therefore, Heather included a checklist that makes it almost impossible to forget anything. It does not only list the equipment you might need but also things to keep in mind when it comes to your own intentions and behaviors during the event. It might seem bit unnecessary at the beginning but this is a great help when you want to make the most out of every conference as it easily happens that we get lost in the moment or we are simply overwhelmed by a certain situation and don’t know how to keep a cool head.

Of course, this wouldn’t be an original handout by Heather Martinez if there weren’t any lettering tips. And besides some nice hacks for performing on the go, she also mentions some useful tricks about practicing when you’re on tour. And while this is something many might not take into account, it is pretty smart to actually plan ahead what you need to practice. This way, you don’t have to panic because you don’t have enough material and need to hope for a Neuland Reseller close to you. As this won’t happen. You will always be prepared and can enjoy your trip without any worries. Amazing, right?

When you’re also a fan of Heather Martinez and her lettering art, you’re welcome to visit her website. And, of course, we also offer the perfect book that combines travelling and lettering. Take a look at the reading extract of “Take a Lettering Journey”.
